Awarded with the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival, this film is a trilogy an all three stories focus on tragic and fated love affairs. The stories take place on the brink of a civil war in the Macedonian mountains between the Macedonians and the Albanians. This is director Milcho Manchevski's feature film debut.
