He was nominated for a BAFTA Short Film Award for his first film "Eight". His Oscar nominated debut feature "Billy Elliot" was nominated in two categories at the Golden Globes and grossed over $100,000,000 worldwide.

Johanna Baldwin is an independent writer/producer whose work includes film, television, theatre and short stories. Johanna's career in the entertainment business began at CAA where she was first mentored by Bill Haber and then promoted to literary agent.

James is the former managing director of The Guardian Group of Newspapers. Having studied law at Oxford and Harvard, James joined the board on the Guardian in 1969, and he was appointed Deputy Managing Director of The Guardian in 1973.
